Baraka is located on the beach. The hav nice staff and the reaturant is good. The wifi was not so good, that was bad because of all the rain we could have done a lot of work ( if the WIFI was working ewell)

The room was very old, cramped, had new rat poop every morning (this seems to be a trend in all Zanzibar). The bathrooms also old, the shower head was not working so you had to literally catch the water to the direction it was going. It looked very ran down. There was a used spoon on the stairs floor that was not picked up in the 3 days we stayed there. They have a laundry area overlooking the balcony so ruins the view a little bit.

The best location possible! With 3 great restaurants there and very lively nightlife. The beach is amazing and is great to have the loungers available for free. The staff was very helpful and kind. The view from up top was really good. We would definitely come back just for the location.

Property was right on the beach. Breakfast was fresh fruit juice, fruit and egg cooked however you liked it and was delicious. The restaurant moved onto the beach at night and was the best in the area for quality of food and price. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, organising the kettle in our room for early morning tea/coffee.

Unfortunately we had no hot water. We reported this to reception and a guy came up to try to fix. Managed to get barely warm water through the system. But the next morning, it was back to only cold water. Also the shower pressure was extremely low. There was also construction work happening during the day that made it impossible to relax in the afternoon.

Great location- right on the beach. Room was comfortable and reasonably priced.

The staff are really friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect; right by the white sand beach and sea view restaurants (the restaurant belongs to the hotel sets dinners on the beach).

It was much nicer than I expected. The location is great and in an area with many bars & restaurants. If you wanna go dancing, it's two steps away from bar Africana, of which you can hear the music though. The garden where the bungalows are located is a green oasis away from the business of the beach. The restaurant served lovely food and turns into a cosy-lit restaurant on the beach in the evening. During the day, they put out beach beds and umbrellas free for Baraka guests, and the local sellers tend to leave you better alone when you're on one of the Baraka beds. All in all a nice experience!

Showers did not work as they should. Water was not alway available and if there, the pressure was non exciting. Bedding consisted of only a sheet.

we booked 8month back and not possible it not our room free.1day we stay not our booked room! And we stay 5 days and newer cleaning our room.One day cleaning and bring new towel because we ask.
