Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room as far as size and amenities was also great but it did have a musty smell. We are not complaining about this and it did not spoil anything of our holiday at all. We did feel a little close to the lodge next door when sat outside, so would have been nice to have a little more privacy. We felt that the choice of eating places was a little limited - in that if we didn't have a booking in the main restaurant we had little choice but to eat in the diner which we felt lacked atmosphere and isn't really our choice of food.
The location was fantastic. The view from the restaurant was amazing and the food in the evening was delicious as was the service. We loved the coffee cart selling great coffee and pastries. Horse riding was a great experience as was the boat trip on the Snake River.

United StatesSince I landed the very last room available it was the least desirable location wise, the the service yard was directing under the window and was quite noisy till late and started again early. Talking to the desk they did comp a fair bit of the heavy price for the night.
Great location in the park , main building, facilities, services and staff were great.

United StatesI wish we had a microwave in the room.
I did not have the breakfast at the lodge. The view from the outdoor seating of the restaurant to the mountains is spectacular.

United StatesI stayed in one of the "cottages" and it was in need of maintenance. The overall infrastructure was in need of repair, especially the weatherstrip on the front door. Small insects and worms were able to enter the room.
The breakfast choices were great and the view from the main lodge was great.

United StatesThere were people who checked into their room at 11:30 pm on the other side of the back wall of our room who were having fun & whooping it up. Walls are rather thin & they woke us up & carried on for an hour. The people next to us commented on it as well. Just the way it is in a motel type setting.
Crowded so we made reservations for dinner when we arrived. Excellent service but food in the Mural Room was not exceptional. Staff was exceptional. Checking was easy & quick. Breakfast at Grill was great! Highly suggest for quick service & good food.

United StatesThe JLL was perfectly suited for our stay in the Grand Tetons. It was centrally located. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room, while simple, was clean and comfortable. Suited our needs. They even had a medical clinic on the premises which I had to use. The staff there was just as accommodating.

Hong KongThe rooms were a bit dark but good and clean.
The pioneer grill was great. One waitress called Shorty was brilliant (friendly and quick). The other restaurant open for breakfast was awful. The buffet was not up to standard. The bar open in the evening, the food and drinks were good.

United StatesThe heat/cool feature - the dial in Unit 531 was worn, so wasn’t sure how to set the cooling, if they even had an AC so I spent the night sweating. The restaurant staff were super nice, although many didn’t know what they were doing yet as the season just started.
Stayed in a cabin that had a small extra kitchen sink with mirror, which was nice to have for makeup, while shower was in use. Also nice to wash my Nalgene. The location to the Tetons was awesome and enjoyed the cabin experience. Loved the restaurants - diner and breakfast buffet - although expensive.

United StatesOur safe in our room didn't work, which was a real pain. I reported the issue to the front desk and they told me to stop back by on our way out. They told me I would have to call and they would send someone out to fix it....who wants to wait around their room when they are on vacation?!?! Not me! The main lodge had wonderful views and lots of seating; however, the seating is in dire need of being reupholstered and/or steam cleaned, as it was looking shabby. Nevertheless, it was an amazing stay and we fully enjoyed our time there.
The location was absolutely amazing! The main lodge had a million dollar view of the Tetons and we were able to see wildlife in the valley on numerous occassions. Our room was very clean and comfortable. All in all it was an amazing stay and a great place to make memories.
