Carpet was not properly cleaned. Microwave was very old (functional but had rust). Stove was very old. Old TV.

Nice location. Nice exterior pool. Air conditioner in very good condition. Good water pressure in shower and sink.

The room wasn’t very clean. The floors looked like they weren’t vacuumed, we actually found a child’s shoe under the bed when we checked our room and our stuff before checking out. We also weren’t given much information on stuff about the hotel, such as WiFi.

They allowed us to get in earlier than we were supposed to & the office people were nice. We really liked how close it was to the boardwalk.

Would have liked a microwave.in the room. They need to have a free working ice machine Also soda machine did not work.

Our room smelled of fish or crabs. 🤔🤔 found out someone left a piece is salmon in the freezer. Maintenance removed it. Smelled cleared.

The TV wasn't set up, and then it didn't work properly. The ice machine was broken. The pool closed at 7pm, too early. A Microwave would have been nice, and it was clean but needed a little bit more under the beds.

The beds were small and advertised. Each room had a mini refrigerator and microwave. We only had a refrigerator.

The rooms smelled bad, especially the drawers and bathroom. The beds are also hard, woke up with sore body everyday. The fridge is small and nothing is included in the stay. No coffee or machine in the rooms or office to have breakfast.

The staff are really nice and it’s close to the board walk. It’s a convenient location with pool and grills.

The bed was not very comfortable, no shampoo/conditioner or a hair dryer that I could see.

I couldn't beat the location for what we were there for. It was exactly where I needed to be.

The Ocean Sands would be considered "Vintage" by most peoples standards, yet has been upgraded over the years. We chose them due to their location and pricing, knowing it wasn't a 5.0 star. The only thing we encountered was the lack of good towels -- they really need to throw out what they have or use them for cleaning! Please replace them with decent quality ones before next season! The room AC was brand new and worked fine, although it was extremely drafty and you could see "daylight" in several areas. Given the windy, raining weather, we had to put paper towels in those areas to block the "whistling" sounds! Otherwise, our room was clean, although somewhat outdated and tacky, but we were offered room service every day! The ice machine was inoperable, so we had to go to the hotel across the parking lot out back and use theirs! But otherwise, we met some other visitors staying there and had fun! Overall, it served it purpose and our stay was great!

Our stay came at the end of the "Summer" season, as the last of hurricane Ian came thru the NJ shore points! We arrived early in the day (10:30 AM) and were allowed to check-in and put our bags in the room, etc. even though normal check-in isn't until 4:00 pm. They were gracious to us in every way possible, given the weather, staffing issues and literally being closed for the rest of the year!

The coffee pot was rusted can’t use. The bad tub was Slippery and the curtains were dusty beside that it was ok .

The beds are a little hard for my liking but there ok. They need a strip light in the kitchenette under the cabinets because at night it gets dark, the other lamps aren't as bright. For our tv you dont get all the channels they say you do but some channels were frozen or just didn't work it's not a big deal. If you are lucky to get a room with a flat screen and you want to stream or play video games the tv is on hotel mode you can't access the input button to get the HDMI channel. As we walked by some rooms have old 90s tvs with the "fat back". Lastly the bathtub needs a bath mat or something in it to prevent slipping it gets very slippery when you try to shower and there is a slight slope near the drain so be careful. BUT THE BATHROOM WAS VERY CLEAN.

All you had to do is cross the street and you're on the boardwalk, I had to get a mobility scooter due to an injury they was accommodating, the front desk lady was nice. The pool was nice and clean it goes up to 7ft and I'm 6ft so it was perfect. The room and bathroom was clean.
