David and Leo Hosts. Excellent Breakfast to set me up for the day I left. I was on a bike packing tour; I did get a little lost at the end of my long day and Leo kindly came to meet me, which was a great help. Comfy bed, TV and Tea/coffee tray in the room. I would have stayed another night if I had more time.

Set in an amazing quiet and beautiful location near a small village with a great community pub.
The accommodation is over 500 years old with some amazing features, set in a few acres of land with beautiful gardens.
The room was very comfortable and lots of small details by our host were thought about.
The host Stephen and Pippa made me very welcome and couldn’t help enough with advice about the local area.
The breakfast was amazing, probably the best B&B breakfast I have had.
They even made coffee and cake for my Mum and brother when they arrived to meet me on the last day.
I would definitely recommend this hideaway location for a few nights relaxation.

The hotel is beautiful and in gorgeous surroundings, the room was comfortable and clean, the windows opened wide and the stable door let in lovely fresh air. There's no noise from traffic or anything, just bird and other nature sounds. The restaurant has a large variety of dishes on offer.
No fault of the hotel but the road to the hotel is very narrow and windy, a bit tricky to navigate.
A beautiful parish I did not know about. A bit of a hidden gem with a strong community and collectively owned pub.
A place I would like to explore more in the future.
Fantastic scenery with hills and woods all around.

Picture-book thatched cottage, in remote valley setting.
Picture-book thatched cottage, in remote valley setting. Comfy bed.
However missing benefit of on-site owner or manager. General air of neglect in gloomy breakfast/sitting room, part refurbished and full of musty furniture. Extensive gardens completely overgrown. No one present on arrival and poor bathroom facilities. Pippa the dog- sitter was very hospitable the next day. Little choice and cheap ingredients at breakfast. Not what we expected for the price.

If we had had more time we would have tried one of the local walks, we have to remember that we are both in our 80s, so they have to be in our capabilities.

Good location for visiting Lyme Regis, Seaton and Bere all beautiful and good tip from hosts to park at Uplime (free all day!) for lovely riverside walk through to Lyme Regis. Visit to the old mill at Lyme was very good all run by volunteers but very interesting talk and demonstration of milling process.

We really enjoyed our stay in such a tranquil setting, it was so peaceful no traffic noise just so quiet and very relaxing.
The owners are such a nice a couple and nothing was too much trouble for them, such a warm welcome.
The full English breakfast with all the extras was amazing.
The only down side was it was difficult to find and you need to go in day light.
I hope to return next year, it's a place to recharge your batteries .
