Mitsis Matis Rodos is a fantastic hotel. John from guest relations especially organized everything really well for us. First time, he did so in June. And now the second time, in October. We travel a lot. But we can come across such a team very rarely. We would like to come back to this hotel time and time again. At the reception, Mika is very professional. She found the best room for us. The food is also amazing, which is thanks to their great chef. The waiters were amazing and very friendly. A lot of different nationalities work together in the stuff yet they remain extremely friendly and work as a team. We especially want to note the great work of John. Without this person, I’m sure the hotel will lose out on a lot. The housekeeping was also next level.

I was searching for a good hotel for my 5th visit in Rhodes island but this time it was my first vacation alone so I searched for a small hotel far from the overcrowded Rhodes city with good reviews and it took awhile until I came across with Lardos Bay Hotel. By the reviews it seems that the hotel has one downfall which is the Wi-Fi connection reliability especially in the rooms area. So I decided to book this hotel and of course to purchase a SIM card with a huge internet package because I needed to work on my laptop during the stay and I couldn’t take the risk after reading the bad reviews about the Wi-Fi. I arrived at the Hotel around 14:00 and i was lucky that the room was surprisingly ready earlier than 15:00! I had to try the Wi-Fi connection for myself and yes it is terrible, it has extremely low internet speed like in the late 90s and it stops working every few minutes or even seconds and I was getting the “No internet connection” message constantly. I truly believe if they had a good and reliable Wi-Fi connection they could have easily go above 9.5 rank in booking.com. Other then the Wi-Fi issues, all the hotel staff from the room attendants to the front desk receptionists are very professional and friendly they always smile and wants you to feel comfortable especially the cute Italian girl at the hotel’s “market” (shop) who thought I’m Italian too :) It looks like the hotel got renovated recently and the room was modern, well maintained and clean to perfection. The public areas looks clean and well maintained as well. I booked full board = breakfast, lunch and dinner that i was told at the check-in it also includes soft drinks and snacks at the pool bar (soft all inclusive) - the food is alright and suitable for a 3 stars hotel. The hotel is 200 meters / 4 minutes walking to the beach, at the beach you can rent 2 Sun beds for 10€ (no option to rent 1 bed).

Hotel was very clean, modern rooms with fantastic view. The beds are very comfortable. Vasilios the hotel manager, Georgia the restaurant manager, Konstantina the receptionist and the staff at the hotel where so friendly and made the holiday even more memorable. Food was exceptional for all inclusive and always something for everyones diet.

This property was a pleasure to stay at. The gardens and pool area are beautiful, and give you a happy holiday feeling. We loved coming back after a day exploring, it just gives you a good feeling. We were so happy with the room. It was clean and spacious. One of the biggest rooms we’ve had, with a beautiful view of the sea. Irene was the most wonderful host. We wanted to do a gender reveal whilst on holiday but didn’t know where to find a balloon. She helped us to find a balloon and she even got her husband to drive the balloon all the way from Rhodes city for us, for no extra charge! What a lovely family business. Irene really cares about all her customers, shes such a genuine lovely person. It was great to get to know you. We cant wait to be back. Maybe next time with our little one 🥰 Lisa & Stefan xxx
