Pros: -Huge villa, with nice porch and cute little plonge pool; and perfect view onto the beach -Pongwe is THE most remote place in Zanzibar still, so book if you want total tranquility (but also lack of any kind of shop;) -Nice bedrooms, with good airco -Part of a consortium with another villa and a small restaurant.

This certainly exceeded my expectations! I stayed for a week alone (really, I was the inly guest) and it was perfect. The Staff is so friendly and welcoming, felt at home immediately. The place is located one minute away from a white sand beautiful beach. The room was new, big shower, & the bed very comfortable. The fan worked perfectly. The breakfast amazing with fruits, fresh tropical juice, and home-made pancakes! Free drinking water, and I had lunch there and they made a special vegan dish for me, super tasty veggie curry and rice. I was skeptical when I read the other reviews, but this is definitely an excellent place to stay. 100% recommend. Thank you Mohammed for the lovely food, and big thanks to Salum, the owner, who gave me the opportunity of witnessing a Zanzibar Village wedding. Will stay in my mind forever 🌞 Many blessings to you.

I recently spent 4 nights at Kiko with my family. We had 3 sea view apartments with private plunge pool. The Apartments are so beautifully decorated and have a wonderful luxurious feel to them. The kitchen was fantastic. Full size fridge, microwave, sink and plenty of utensils. The location was fantastic, the beach is on your doorstep. You also have Kae Funk beach just a short stroll up the beach. The restaurant serve great food and have a very good choice. We travelled with 4 young children and there was even a little playground on site for them. Victor, the accommodation supervisor was just so professional and friendly. Anything we needed, he supplied. We even had the option to dine in our apartment, and the restaurant staff would prepare and bring to our room, this was so perfect with the children. I would highly recommend a stay at Kiko if you are passing through Michamvi. We will most definitely return :) Asant Sana xx
