Situated only 4 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune, The Central Motel & Lodge features an outdoor hot tub. All studios and apartments include self-catering facilities and electric blankets. Apparently the rooms were renovated 5 years ago but they are still spotless. Real quality in the kitchen, wonderful comfortable bed and the first bathroom on our trip that didn’t have some sort of issue, in fact it was super. Great location, super friendly and helpful hosts , I doubt there’s much better comfort and value in Okakune .

Ruapehu Country Lodge is located within a 15-minute drive of Tongariro National Park, home of the world-renowned Tongariro Crossing. Free Wi-Fi access is available in this lodge. Breakfast was amazing! A great spread in the living room with other guests. Marie and Bernie went out of their way to accomodate us, helping us out when we couldn’t get dinner in the town over Easter weekend.

Manuka Lodge Bed and Breakfast is located just 10 minutes’ walk from the Ohakune town centre. The property features a jacuzzi, free WiFi and free on-site parking. Excellent. Felt completely at home. Very helpful advice for activities in the area. Engaging but discreet hosts. Room spacious, lovely bathroom and bed comfortable. Breakfast was terrific with good options.

Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. Offered a good location close to the numerous natural walks in the area. Room and bathroom was clean and amenities were provided. There was a good view from our balcony as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, would recommend and return.

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. It was warm, clean, nice and cosy! The room was clean and pleasantly warm - much appreachated at that time! Shared space was very nice, well-organised. Always smiling lady gave us good advice what to see despite not very good weather-thank you :)

Just a 3-minute drive from the heart of Ohakune, guests enjoy a sauna and a spa and wellness centre at The Peaks Motor Inn. All rooms feature a fully equipped kitchen and a terrace with mountain... The parking was great .The place was immaculately clean .It was a great location for restaurants.

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. Indoor pool was amazing - heated to about 38 degrees Celsius. All the walls & ceilings of hotel were wooden, such a special feel, just like we were in a ski chalet. Hotel had a bar and restaurant on site, which was great.

Situated in a quiet location off the main highway in National Park Village, Adventure Lodge and Motel is family-run accommodation offering free unlimited Wi-Fi access and a comfortable guest lounge... Nice and clean place. They provide me information about shuttle to Tongariro crossing and I use them. The german girl on the reception was very nice , she gave me hairdryer and ask all the questions we had

Boasting a hot tub, games room and BBQ facilities, Ohakune TOP 10 Holiday Park is just a 4-minute walk from the heart of Ohakune. I love the fact the cabin we stayed in had two sets of bunk beds. It makes fitting a young family of 5 really easy!
