To be honest, we didn't exactly know what to expect from our stay here. We were looking for a bit of a camping experience. This place was much more luxurious than we expected! The cabin was clean and fresh and modern. The property was a joy to explore and learn about. The restaurant is delicious, and breakfast was varied and...luxurious! This was our homebase for exploring the Transfagarasan. And it was perfect. Eddie, the manager, took us on a tour of the property and the history of the pastravaria. We also loved all the sweet dogs roaming the land. If you stay here, make sure to check out the spa!

Situated just 7.3 km from Vidraru Dam, Casa Matteo offers accommodation in Arefu with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a shared kitchen. the owner was very nice, gave us a better room than we ordered and gave us tips for the rest of the trip in Romania. great rooms and view and amazing location to start the transfagarasan. quiet and beautiful place!

Location in the heart of the Transfarahashan, an ideal place for an overnight break or for exploring the beautiful trail. Staff was great and breakfast is great value for money. Also was very helpful and honest to send a forgotten item all the way to Bucharest. Highly recommend!

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Popas Balea Rau is a recently renovated guest house set in Cîrţişoara, 43 km from Făgăraș Fortress. It was really nice, the nature around just amazing.. The best place to meet follow motorcyclists.

Set in Cumpăna, on the shore of Vidraru lake, Cabana Cumpana boasts views of the mountains. Free WiFi is provided. The accommodation is fitted with a TV. Bed linen is available. I liked everything about the stay, the view from the rooms, the breakfast was so good and you have alot of space at property that you can sit and watch the sunset. It was so clean and the beds are comfortable.
