Located just a 10-minute drive from Lerwick, Herrislea House Hotel is licensed and offering snacks and mini meals using local products, free WiFi in all rooms, and free parking. All the food was great. The house is full of interesting curios and souvenirs and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. There are two excellent rooms to sit and read surrounded by curios from a life spent in Africa and India and other exotic places. Full of character and atmosphere - not so much a hotel as a country house - as the name implies.
