Situated right on Oualie Beach, this family-run resort offers lush gardens and charming rooms set in Caribbean-style cottages. I spent 3 nights at Oualie Beach Resort recently. During this time (low season) there were only a handful of people staying but that made the stay even better as it felt like I was staying at my own personal quiet retreat. It is situated at a wonderful location on the beach with fantastic views of St Kitts. It is a little way out of town so a car would be useful but it is easy enough to get a taxi and I understand that there are bus stops nearby. All the staff that I met were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable, well furnished and ideally sized. I was lucky enough to be able to have a closeup view of the monkeys feeding outside my bedroom windows each morning. I did'nt see the cows but the wild donkeys surprised me on my walk to the restaurant in the dark! I had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant and all the meals were very good. The music was also good with the local residents coming over to enjoy the entertainment. All in all I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it as a quiet haven. I would be happy to stay there again.
