Hotel in Redwood City ( 2.1 miles)
This hotel is located 1.5 miles from downtown Redwood City and 4.4 miles from Stanford University. It features spacious rooms with a flat-screen cable TV and serves a grab and go breakfast. Amazing staff, good location for our stay. Excellent value.
Overall the room was a great value. Having a kitchen in the room makes a bug difference when you are staying for multiple days. The ability to keep food in the room or bring home leftovers and know you have plenty of space is nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodated our needs. The bed was a little hard but not to the point of discomfort. I enjoy a semi soft bed. Parking is a little tricky. The hotel does share parking with multiple office buildings. Internet was pretty slow. I was told we could upgrade to faster internet. But. Being in the city we had great cell reception and used our phones instead of upgrading. If you need a room with plenty of space and the possibility to cook your own food. This is a must. Also we were told 15-20 minutes to Stanford hospital. At 4:30 A.M. took 18 minutes. Anytime after 8:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M. was easily over 30 minutes. Longest being 42 minutes. So keep that in mind if you are staying due to medical reasons.
Redwood City is a gem. Its my favorite city in the Bay Area. I just love so many things about it. It has a bursting cultural life, with lots of live events (pre-Covid19), amazing summer concerts, great restaurants, and gorgeous regional parks up near emerald hills. And now Stanford is here too. I just love this place.
Convenient, especially if one needs to get back onto the 101 to go north or south. Good restaurants close by--if want something fast, Mc Donald's is a very short walk, not even 1/2 a city block.
Short drive to the coast! Visited lovely shops and delicious restaurants in Half Moon Bay and walked the beaches. Had a wonderful day trip. Locally there are many options for a variety of restaurants. My trip was Yummy!
the hotel look nice on the entrance staff work wasn't too friendly the place was run down weeds everywhere garbage everywhere duncombe chemicals outside people up smoking and making noise and no customer service like in the old days only one cup although we had a room for two people garbage on the floor hardwood floors whenever mopped made your feet black continental breakfast was an apple a granola bar and an old pastry the room only had coffee for one person and one cup I did not like the place at all especially for the price
Belmont is a small community in the Silicon Valley about halfway between San Francisco and San Jose. I've been there twice to visit family, both times went by way to fast and I didn't get to see everything. This time I did find a nice farmers market on El Camino Real across from Safeway. They had wonderful produce and baked goods, I would definitely go back to that again.
