The Gems Suites hotel is a very nice & super clean located in a calm street! We received a spacious and beautiful room with A/C, balcony, fridge, kettle and even an electric cooking plate. The staff was always present and ready to help in anything hotel offered us a pick up from train station that was extremely convenient taking into consideration determination tuc tuc drivers there! I am eternally grateful to Salim and Yunus (transport company members) who helped me when I lost my back pack in the train, took me to the police station and then even drove in the middle of the night to Ajmer to pick it up. Thank you so much! Salim is a boss of trusted travel company in Jaipur which works with the hotel, organizes tours in the region and beyond. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely come back! The traditional restaurant at the aparthotel specialises in Indian cuisine, and is open for dinner and lunch. I spent nearly a week with Sumer and his family and it was such an incredible experience. Nowhere else have I been in India that has so truly embodied the sentiment of “mi casa es su casa…“ the amount of generosity and warmth from not only the family but also from everyone else in the village was so special. It was sometimes hard to go for a walk as I was always getting invited in for a chai, food, or game with kids! The homestay provides such a beautiful space to reconnect with your surroundings, and I left with a sense of immense gratitude and peace from the time spent there (as well as a couple extra kilos from the incredible cooking). The rooms are beautiful and you can sleep under the stars at night if you choose. It’s a great place to experience a traditional Rajasthani village lifestyle and easily accessible from Jodhpur.
