Fabulous Cottage-we stayed at the Crown cottage (2 bedroom house)! The host ensured we had all the help we needed promptly. We had a great time, the place is right in the middle, 2 mins to the magnificent Gold Hill (you cannot miss) and 10 mins to Castle Hill. If in Shaftesbury, do not miss this place!

A house on the very edge of a quiet but with a rich history of an amazingly beautiful town, a ten-minute walk from its historical center. Morning with birdsong, breakfast watching squirrels activity. Private parking in the courtyard of the estate. The location of the town is very convenient for exploring several counties. Fully equipped, medically clean, secluded accommodation but the hosts are very nice and friendly Ruth and Denis respond immediately when needed.

Location is perfect. Close to the A350 but without the noise. Cottage has everything you need and more. Heating is good. There is even a enclosed place where you can have your dog run around. Annabelle was really welcoming and nice.

We absolutely loved everything about it. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, if we could rate them more than a 10/10 we would! They made sure we had everything we needed and took care to show us where everything was in the hut (which was very well supplied with appliances, even a hob and oven to cook!). On arrival were even given a loaf of homemade bread still warm out of the bread-maker, fresh eggs from their own chickens, and a lovely big bit of delicious butter for our breakfast in the morning. The cabin was lovely and warm with its own little log burner, and there were plenty of unrestricted windows if we needed some fresh air. The bed was super comfy and in perfect condition with a lovely big duvet and 2 pillows each. There was a fire pit and a basket of logs with fire lighters so we had a BBQ, and the cabin was set at the back of the field giving us all the peace, quiet and privacy we needed for an absolutely lovely weekend. Thank you hosts! We’ll be back very soon :)

Fantastic small annex in Mere. Great location very close to the centre of town with a small stream just near the backyard. Very quiet culdesac with no issues with noise or neighbours. Facilities were fantasic, fully equipped kitchen with washing machine was great to have. Added bonus of biscuits, jams & tea/coffee awaiting at your arrival. Property was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed & great sized bathroom. Living room is the perfect place to relax. Did not meet Pat or Peter, although would have loved to. However, I appreciated their respect of their guests privacy.

The property was immaculately clean, homely and beautifully decorated, containing all the amenities you would need for a short or long stay. Small things like the bottles of water, pint of milk and great toiletries were a lovely touch and made the stay even more comfortable. The hosts were easily contactable beforehand, able to answer the questions I had promptly and have created such a beautiful and relaxing haven.
