The accomodation is simple but spacious and clean, free amazing coffee, and here you'll have the feeling to be in a real homestay in a real guatemala village to base yourself for Tikal, instead of being in the Flores tourist bubble.

Great location directly on the lake: hood swimming and spectacular sunsets! Quiet at night and felt very safe and relaxed. Super easy access to Tikal and Yaxha.

Casa aleman is an amazing place. The views from the terrace are breathtaking, especially during sunset. Even better than the place are the two hosts. Amazing is a word which doesnt describe the full extent of their beings. Whatever we needed, whichever wish we had, the fulfilled it even before we could say it out loud. They invited us for dinner and helped us widening our horizons and discuss about life in all its facets and entanglements. If we are in Guatemala again, our first destination is the Casa Aleman! The two of them know more about Tikal and Guatemala than any guide could have told us.
