Also the breakfast on terrace is the best! we loved the stay a lot! and it is short walk from the center but you go on busy way and it was a bit stressfull but we get used to it. and it night there were some dogs making it safe home with us so all good haha

This is the hidden gem of Ella. If you’re trying to get away from the noise/touristy part of this city, 49 Ella is a dream. I almost didn’t want to write this because I know how special this property is but incredible WiFi, great AC, overlooking the mountains, you can see the train over the hills. The birds chirp in the morning and the sunrises are special. I don’t have words for how amazing this place is. A little outside of town, but less than $2 US to get into town. Worth it.

A lovely cabin which feels like it's immersed in the jungle, with views through the trees of the surrounding countryside and the sounds of the birds. The host is very friendly and provides a delicious breakfast and knowledge of the area. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

The owners were so very kind and helpful. A great husband and wife team with one of their daughters helping too. The property was quiet, positioned way out of town away from the throng of Ella’s night life and busy cafe’s. It was a relief to be met at Ella train station by the husband in his Tuk Tuk and taken to the homestay after a very long and cramped train journey. The walk would have been exhausting with luggage as all up hill. The view across the valley are beautiful especially at sunset & sunrise. The property was simple, clean and very comfortable.

The owner was very helpful and communicative before we got to the property. He picked us up from the train station late at night, and arranged transportation for us after eating dinner back to the property. The location is a little bit outside of the main town area which was good for us, nice and quiet at night. Every morning we got a huge breakfast made by the owner which was customizable depending on your own taste. He can help book drivers to different spots around the area. Good value for the money.

Susan was really welcoming and friendly. He shared good tips on where to eat and get laundry done, became our tuk tuk driver while we were in Ella and offered a lovely breakfast service for a small extra charge. The view is so gorgeous and he helped carry our backpacks up to the room.
