It was my second time traveling to Alkmaar from work, but my first time in this hotel. It was great! the room was beautiful, clean, and had a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living room and bedroom. Its location is also a big plus as it's close to the center. The hosts were also great. though they aren't physically there, they are always available by text or phone.

Finding was as easy as it's my husband home town, but for others, it could be quite tricky. The host sent us instructions for the digital door key to enter. That bit was easy - however, locking the door once we were inside was a bit more tricky!! The place was EXTREMELY clean, well kitted out, perfect location and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and it's hard to find somewhere in Alkmaar with parking, so that was a deciding factor. It has some lovely design features, interior design, lighting, excellent use of space and a very nicely converted "attic" on top of an old Dutch house.

Everything was perfect, we arrived at the apartment the owner welcomed us very kindly, she gave us a bottle of wine for our anniversary. The apartment has beautiful views throughout the center, I would really come back... RECOMMENDED.

We felt so at home, so secure and in the centre of the old town but in a lovely, quiet street. Can only highly recommend and will definitely return. Thanks to the owners for providing such a haven.

Alkmaar is a beautiful town with much of the charm of Amsterdam, but much less busy and touristy. The kitchenette was a real bonus to be able to make coffee and tea or snacks, and is very well stocked - although there are so many great bars and restaurants within a short distance anyway.
