It was nice having an apartment with kitchen, good WiFi, and air conditioning. We had been traveling for awhile so it was nice being able to cook for ourselves. There are several small markets nearby for supplies or taking a taxi to the bazaar where things were very cheap. The owner was very nice, met us at the station when we came in on the train, and was helpful with any questions we had.

It's also a decent location - looks to be far from the center but it is easy to get to the old town as you can catch a minibus or just have a pleasant walk. The hosts very kindly let me check-in early when I arrived in the morning on the train. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station on a pedestrian path that is nice and flat. The house is located right outside the eastern gate (polvon darvoza) directly behind the Said Niyaz Shali Karabay Mosque.

This is a place where you can certainly stay for a long period of time and enjoy yourself. It was clean (upon arrival there was still a cleaner inside which means the owner cares about cleanliness and this is a good sign for guests in our opinion). The apartment has everything as stated in the website. It is very quiet as well. There is minivan outside the apartment to the old town.

We absolutely enjoyed Khiva thanks to this apartment and the hospitability of the hosts.
