We arrived extremely early (6am) due to our bus arriving in Ninh Binh 2 hours ahead of schedule. Regardless of arriving so early, we were met in a friendly manner and were checked-in right away. The family is extremely friendly, and although the older lady who runs the homestay doesn't speak English, she is an absolute treasure of a person and easy to communicate with. We used Google Translate to communicate with her. After checking out, they let us keep our bags there for the day so we could hang out in Ninh Binh without having to carry them around before our bus. The room was spacious, wifi worked well, AC worked well, room was well kept. Location can be a little far from the city center and sites, but bikes and motos are available for rental from the host if you don't plan on taking Grabs. The hosts offered food for a great price, and they gave us fruit and tea with it. Water there is also free from the water filter so no worrying about buying water from a store.
