The owner is very nice and welcoming, the dinners in the house are excellent and the food is adapted for all types of guests (we are all vegan). The location is ideal and every morning we took the colectivos to reach the different treks. We loved it so much we stayed for one day more than planned. Definitely the most comfortable and delicious stay we had in Cape verde!!! Fully fully recommended!!!!

Was invited for a birthday drink and driven to the port at departure. Arranged a mountain tour with a private driver. The large room and lovely big terrace were very neat and tidy. Well-equipped kitchen. Everything spotless. Can warmly recommend this place.

It was clean and the host was also very nice and picked us up from the ferry. It is just 5 minutes walking distance to the ferry and the restaurants.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the tableware and cookware. However, the shops in Ponta do Sol are really tiny, so if you're travelling by car I'd suggest to do your grocery shopping in bigger villages (e.g. we've found a relatively big shop in Ribeira Grande) or even before departing Mindelo, especially if you want to purchase alcohol. Anyway, if you don't want to cook yourself, there are several cafes/restaurants nearby, but I suggest to book the place for dinner in advance, as the best places are fully booked. Good wi-fi, plenty of parking place on the street nearby, key is left in the locker box, so you don't have to worry about time of arrival. The host is very sweet and helpful - she has sent all the precise instructions on whatsapp in advance and it was very easy to contact her anytime.

There is a kitchen, bathroom, shower and basic amenities. There even is a minimarket that is run by the owner directly in the building. The place is directly in the Xôxô valley with great views from the window.

Really sweet and accommodating hosts, the setting is otherworldly, it really feels like being on a different planet being surrounded by such a volcanic landscape. Peaceful sunrises with the singing sound of a couple buzzing bees and incredible sunsets, not to mention the night sky filled with stars. The house itself, situated just outside of Porto Novo, is beautiful and cosy too. The beach is right at the bottom and you can walk to the center by it.  We immediately booked another night here for our return to Porto Novo.
