The room and facilities are basic, but just fine, and I wished I'd stayed another night. Harri, who runs the place, and gives tours, could not have been more helpful, about Aalto, or the island location. Bus connections are good, with access to Muuratsalo and Aalto's Experimental House. At Saynatsalo, don't miss the excellent bakery on the ground floor, and there's a small pub with excellent home brewed beer by a marina. Enjoy the landscape, and the quiet of the lake. Finland at its finest.

The apartment has an excellent location close to the lake, forests, and a bus stop with a travel time of 11 minutes to the city centre. The host was caring, the place was clean and we felt like at home. Own sauna was a huge benefit over other places.
