This beginners' surfing lesson in Torquay will teach you how to ride the waves off the world-famous Great Ocean Road.

Listening to an experienced surf instructor, you'll practise your skills on the shoreline before seeing if you can put your knowledge to the test out at sea. A safety briefing and all equipment will be provided throughout – including a full-length wetsuit and a soft beginners' surf board – and your instructors will be on hand at all times to help you master the waves.

    To get to the surf shop, drive down the main highway from Geelong to Torquay. Continue past all of the surf shops until you reach a roundabout. From here, take the left junction and drive down Bell Street. The 'Go Ride a Wave' shop will be the last shop, located on the right past the camping ground.
