On this guided tour, you’ll get to explore The Perth Mint in Perth. On arrival, you can join a guided walk to gain insights into Australia’s ‘gold rush’ and learn more about gold refining and the manufacture of gold bars and coins.
During your tour, you can also view the gold exhibition with its interactive displays, historical images, ancient artefacts and gold exhibits related to Western Australia’s gold discovery. You’ll also get to see the world’s largest gold coin – the Australian Kangaroo One Tonne Gold Coin, as well as one of Australia’s largest gold nugget collections.
Additionally, you can observe how molten gold is transformed into a solid gold bar and step on the weighing scale to check your weight in gold. Thereafter, you can visit the Perth Mint Shop to view its collection of gold, silver and platinum coins, natural gold nuggets, jewellery, precious stones, gifts and souvenirs.
