On this full-day, private tour from Datong, you'll get to visit Wutaishan, one of the Four Sacred Mountains in Chinese Buddhism. You'll be joined by a knowledgeable guide who will share insight into the history of Buddhism in China on the three-and-a-half-hour drive to Wutaishan.
Your first stop will be Pusa Ding, where you'll climb 108 stairs to the temple and take in views of the surrounding area. You'll then explore Wenshu Pavilion, Tayuan Temple, Wenshufa Pagoda and Dacangjing Pavilion. There will be time to wander around the markets and browse the shops selling incense, prayer beads, Buddhist booklets and bronze Buddhas. If time allows, you may also visit Nanshan Temple. There will be a stop for a local lunch during the tour.
