On this full-day tour, you will visit two famous historical sites in the city of Pingyao. You will visit the famous Shuanglin Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for more than 2,000 colourful Buddhist sculptures and paintings that are at least 1,400 years old. After having delicious lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, you will head towards Qiao Family Compound. It is the former residence of Qiao Zhiyong, a business tycoon that lived during the Qing dynasty. This courtyard is considered by architects as one of the finest remaining examples of imposing private residences in northern China.
