On this guided tour from Santander, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Cantabrian village of Comillas, offering beautiful examples of modernist architecture including Gaudí’s El Capricho. You’ll proceed to the Major Seminary of Comillas, housed in an eclectic hilltop building designed by Catalan architects Joan Martorell and Lluís Domenech i Montaner.
Once in Comillas, you’ll come to the highlight of the tour – a visit to Gaudí’s El Capricho, one of Spain’s oldest modernist buildings and one of the few expressions of Gaudí’s genius outside the Catalonia region. Before returning to Santander, you can enjoy a driving tour of the village to see its top sights, including Sobrellano Palace, the Gothic cemetery with the ‘El Ángel Exterminador’ statue, the Duchess’ House and the monument to Antonio Lopez.
