On this three-hour, guided Bhubaneswar tour, you’ll visit Udayagiri-Khandagiri and the Dhaula Hills and learn more about Jainism and Buddhism in India. You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Bhubaneswar at 09:00 and travel to the Udayagiri and Khandagiri caves built into adjacent hills. You’ll discover that these caves were earlier called ‘Cuttack caves’, believed to be the residence of Jain monks. You’ll then explore the Dhauligiri Shanti Stupa or White Peace Pagoda on top of Dhauli Hill, on the banks of the Daya river. You’ll explore the Buddhist shrine inside and the pagoda’s unique architecture. You’ll also hear the story of King Asoka and his association with this pagoda. You’ll be dropped-off to your hotel after the tour.
