On this tour, you’ll head to the old town of Orvieto, located on a volcanic rock above the Paglia Valley in Italy. You’ll be accompanied by a licensed local guide who will take you on a private walking tour of the town.
You’ll visit the 14th-century Orvieto Cathedral also popularly known as the Duomo Cathedral. At this must-visit cathedral, you’ll get to see gold and mosaic façades from the Gothic era, frescoes by Luca Signorelli which inspired Michelangelo's work inside Sistine Chapel and many noteworthy architectural gems.
You’ll also have time to wander along the town's squares and narrow alleys, visit museums to explore collections that exhibit over 2,500 years of history and see panoramic views of the town from a medieval-era tower. You can try an Umbrian meal and a glass of local wine before heading back.
