On this tour, you'll have the opportunity to learn about and taste your way through Terceira Island cuisine. After a morning departure from Angra do Heroísmo, you'll head to São Mateus da Calheta – a small fishing village where you'll be able to visit the fish market and whaling museum and sample local seafood. You'll continue on to Cinco Ribeiras, where you'll get to taste a variety of cheeses and bread at a cheese factory.
In Serreta, you'll pause to enjoy a typical Azores lunch consisting of 'Alcatra' – slow-cooked beef stew – along with sausage, black pudding, sweet potatoes, corn cakes and more. After lunch, you'll visit the Biscoitos wine region and stop by a local winery to sample wines and liquors. You'll end the tour with ice cream.
