On this tour, you'll join a local guide and set out on an exploration of Mae Sai, the major border crossing between Thailand and Myanmar. The town is known as a hub for gem trading, and you'll have the chance to meet the buyers and sellers of these precious stones. Your guide will also take you to the hill-tribe village of Ban Wang Lao which is famous for its handicrafts. Here, you'll get an in-depth look at Thai culture and perhaps find a handmade souvenir to take home.
The tour also includes a visit to Wat Tham Place, better known as 'Fish Cave Temple'. This cave-like temple complex houses a variety of fish and free-roaming monkeys living amongst the Buddhist statues.
