On this tour, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Doi Tung area, a collection of projects created under the guidance of HRH The Princess Mother of the Thai royal family.
After pickup from your Chiang Rai accommodation, you'll head into the nearby mountains, where the Doi Tung projects are located. You can stroll in and around the Royal Villa, which is believed to have been inspired by The Princess Mother's Swiss residence.
The tour will continue to the Wat Phra That Doi Tung Buddhist temple which is built following the Lanna style of architecture and a sacred place of worship for local Thai, Laotian and Myanmar communities. On the return journey, you'll stop to visit some of the native hill tribe villages of the Chiang Rai region.
