On this countryside tour, you’ll explore rural settlements and set out by boat to the Golden Triangle where the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet. You’ll begin with a fascinating look at one of Thailand’s last remaining Hmong settlements where age-old traditions are still practised.
After making your way through the scenic landscape, you’ll board a boat and cruise towards the Golden Triangle area, sailing with Thailand to your one side and Laos to the other. You’ll have free time on land to visit a famous viewpoint and shop for crafts and souvenirs.
On your return journey, you’ll follow a route along the beautiful Mekong River and make a short stop at the lively village of Sop Ruak. A friendly local guide will accompany you during your expedition, telling captivating stories of trade, corruption, opium and more.
