Popular with solo travellers

On this self-guided tour, you’ll get a feel for the city at your own pace while being led by the voice of an author who wrote an award-winning book about Central Asia. Since you’ll be using an audio guide, the tour will be ready whenever you are.

You’ll start at the ninth-century Shah-I-Zinda with its terracotta tiles. Continuing on, the route will take you to the bustling Siab Bazaar and the Bibi-Khanym Mosque. On the way to Registan, you’ll learn about local history, folklore and politics. Upon arrival at the site, you’ll see its turquoise domes and minarets. During the tour, you’ll be allowed detours to explore and have the possibility of stopping at local tea houses called chaikhanas.
