Calm place in a little port, very good to rest after hiking around. The owner is very nice. There is board games to play, it's a nice touch. You can also cook and there is a fridge, important because there is few restaurants around !

Very close to the beach and the host was very accommodating and responsive. We very much appreciated the late check out and helpful suggestions on many things including buying Shimpo (discounted cash) and food suggestions

Among the typical ressort hotels of Izu Ooshima, this place offers a unique experience: A little Japanese wood house that is also a coffee place in the day time, with only two guest rooms, nicely decorated with handmade craft and warm lighting that makes you feel at home. And not to forget the warm and attentive welcome of the hosts. They serve delicious typical Japanese breakfast made with local products, but if you feel hard to start the day with a Japanese breakfast, you probably can get the western breakfast that is on the menu of the coffee place.

Everything was great. The location, cleanliness, experiences. Especially Izumi-san(staff) was very kindly guide us, made delicious food and even she let us use the bikes. You definitely will experience quiet and kind side of Japan in here. I will visit again when I come back to Oshima.

I thought Book Tea Bed was great - I was a little bit worried because I don’t have a ton of experience staying in hostels but you get your own little cubby with a curtain so it feels very private. The location was excellent, everything was clean, the staff was friendly & helpful. I definitely recommend visiting Izu Oshima as well as the island is beautiful.
