I felt like I found my home. The owner and his family were very kind and friendly. The food they made was amazing. They organized my transfers and the activities I wanted such as jeep to the tip of the peninsula and tuk tuk around to see the donkeys. The views were amazing.

Absolutely stunning property with the most incredible architecture with exceptional eye for detail. Beautifully maintained, extremely clean and very welcoming which is a credit to the villa staff who work hard to keep it that way. Even more outstanding was the way the staff inside the villa who made us feel like family - always an exceptional high standard of service delivered with a smile. The meals they provided for us were out of this world and every foodie’s dream. Every meal was fresh and delicious and nothing was too much for the local lady who cooked it for us. A total gem! The pool is inviting for everyone - swimmers and kids alike as it is deep enough to swim but also shallow enough to stand (for kids +6yrs). The large, beautiful garden is full of palm trees to the back and short grass to the front which is a great playground also. We would be very happy to come back in the future for a relaxing beach break, away from busy tourist resorts!

The best hostel in Kalpitiya! I saw Dolphins and blue Whales! The family that run this hostel went out of their way daily to make sure my experience was fantastic, and they achieved that. They arranged a personal trip out to sea to go whale watching (this was so cheap compared to other areas) with an amazing team of whale enthusiasts that take great care of both you and the whales. They also have a jet ski and kayaks on hand so i went out on the lagoon for a day and watched a beautiful sunset.The reason I care about leaving a gleaming review is because the hostel itself is lovely but mainly because family showed me around and even cooked several meals for me without me even asking! They really went above and beyond and I can confidently say, hands down, this is the place to stay in Kalpitiya.

This is the place to stay if you are visiting kalpitiya. The room is simple but has all the needed materials to have a good night sleep. Highlight of the property is the owner Meryl, his wife and kids. Meryl arranged us bicycles to ride around for 1000 LKR and helped us getting a tuktuk in the morning to the bus station (which was cheaper than taking it by ourselves when we first got there). Overall great experience.

You will not believe this place is made out of plastic bottles! Our stay was very special, the room was exactly as described and has a very big garden area with a hammock and a special tunnel in the forest so you can reach the beach! To our luck we got to meet the owners and we got to talk and connect and they were very helpful through out our stay. They also helped us book a horseback riding trip on the beach which was out of this world! Definitely recommended!!
