Appley is a nice family-led B&B in the hear of Shanklin. Basically all sights and the beach are just 5 minutes walk away (and a lift, in case of the beach). The owners are absolutely lovely and were just the best possible hosts to have. The cooked breakfast was the best we ever had - and we did stay in about 10 other B&Bs just on that vacation. Appley alone is a reason to return to the Isle of Wight, really.

The owners (Pete and Warren) think about the guests, and I could see that in everything - the house, room, services, and breakfast. They were very caring, friendly, and kind and made me feel at home. My dog was very excited and noisy in the breakfast room, had a toilet accident, and got sick, but they were very understanding. Not many places allow dogs in the eating area, so it was nice. The room was super clean and comfortable, I definitely come back for my next visit to IoW!

We really enjoyed our stay. Andy and Jo made us feel very welcome. The room was wonderful: it was spacious and very nicely decorated; the bed was extremely comfy, the bathroom well equipped and it was all very clean and it looked brand new. We had a seaview room with great direct view on the beach/sea just across the street. The breakfast was a big treat: an extensive menu with also a daily special, all deliciously cooked by Jo. Good carpark at the back of the hotel. Very much recommended!
