Our experience at The Blue Gecko was truly incredible. We had booked to stay in another hotel close by but, when we checked in, we discovered it had bed bugs. We were horrified, stressed and desperately needed to find somewhere else to stay. Thankfully, The Blue Gecko came to our rescue! The hotel only had availability on booking.com for one night but we booked it nonetheless. When we arrived, the front of house staff were so helpful and the owner even promised us he would find us a room for the following night, despite the fact they were almost fully booked. Not only did he charge us a discounted rate but the staff actually moved a bed from upstairs in the villa to ensure we could all stay together. Despite all of this hassle, they charged us nothing extra and made us feel so welcome. The property itself is beautiful and a stones throw from the beach. To top things off, they had the best peanut butter ice cream we have ever tried. If you are going to Koh Lanta, this is without a doubt where you should stay.

This property is managed by a lovely couple, Sam and Jackie. Service at this beach front property/resort was exceptional. Food was probably the best we had during our island hopping trip in Thailand. We booked several tours with Lanta Palace - a snorkel tour and Elephant Sanctuary Tour. The Staff was incredibly helpful and efficient in booking these for us - esp since we booked last minute. Rooms were gorgeous with high ceilings, amazing wood art work doors and chandeliers to offer a spectacular design experience in your room. There is a small town within walking distance which we didn't check out but would have loved to walk around more if we had time. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting an elevated experience!

The bungalow I stayed at was big, clean and had everything you need. It’s a small resort with 6 bungalows run by the sweetest people. The owners were very helpful and even gave me a ride for free. Location is great, just 5 minutes away from Long Beach.

Beautiful garden with hammocks to chill, cozy dorm with only four beds. comfortable and super clean bathrooms. Well designed, you feel like home here. On Wednesdays they have a food market in the garden with life music, which was very cool. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The Lazy Lodge, as the name says, is a place to relax and be lazy in front of the beach. The bungalows are very beautiful, every detail is curated, very clean and spacious. Breakfast is included, and it's amazing, high-quality food and a more than reasonable amount. The beach is all organised with pillows and beds in front of the sea, bear in mind there are many big rocks in front of the resort however you can swim further and enjoy a nice peaceful swimming or you can walk 5 minutes and find a spot without many rocks. The food of the restaurant is also very nice, sometimes we had dinner in the resort and sometimes we tried different restaurants and bars along the beach. As mentioned in other reviews, sometimes the bars on the beach have parties, and you can hear some loud music in the bungalows, but it doesn't bother us at all. First, our bungalow was garden view, so we couldn't hear anything once the doors were closed. Second, we enjoyed the music, and third, they also provided earplugs in the room, so they were very prepared. Bungalows have air-conditioning as well. Staff is incredible, and everyone is extremely smiley and helpful. We really enjoyed every moment of our stay. The sunset from this place was spectacular. Thank you for everything, I hope to be back soon.
