The lodge had everything we could ask for. Very modern and very clean. Very secure site with electric gates to get in and out. Owners were so friendly and greeted us on arrival and exit. Hot tub at temperature and very private, which made us feel comfortable.

Towels and bed linen are provided in the apartment. The property has an outdoor dining area. The spaciousness of the apartment was amazing. It was handy to all amenities and well placed to see the local attractions. There were many unexpected extras such as a spare phone charger, a CD collection and player, a library including local history books and the kitchen fridge and freezer were a great size. The whole kitchen area was really well appointed. The bathrooms were also spacious and the whole apartment was very clean. The views of the harbour and surrounds were lovely and there was always something interesting to see. Restaurants were all within walking distance, and despite their close proximity there were no noise issues. Parking was secure and easy to get in and out of. Would certainly stay here again.

We used it as a base to explore the Lakes from - much less crowded and touristy, and everyone we encountered on Walney Island made us feel so welcome! The hosts at Victoria House were lovely and the room was exactly what we wanted: comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom (with a clawfoot tub to soak in after a big day of walking!). Will absolutely be back!
