Our stay at the Newark was perfect from start to finish …. A quant little hotel …. Room was spotless and bed comfy …. tea and coffee facilities were spot on …. Breakfast each morning was very good and the staff especially Andrew who was always very courteous and informative were excellent

Christchurch is a 10-minute drive away, and you can reach Poole in around 20 minutes. Close to the beach and High Street, great choice for breakfast, very friendly and informative host in Duncan. Would highly recommend it to family and friends.

Alexander Lodge is a traditional Edwardian Guest House offering bed and breakfast accommodation on a quiet, tree-lined road in Southbourne, Bournemouth. The clifftop, award winning Blue Flag beaches and a wide variety of shops, restaurants and cafes are all only 2 minutes walk away. Wonderful guesthouse in a great location, just a few metres from the endless beach in Southbourne. Andi and James are perfect hosts, providing not only a delicious breakfast - both buffet (with fresh berries every day) and cooked - but also valuable advice on things to do in the area. They try to work in a sustainable way by sourcing as much of the food as possible locally, by avoiding wasting food or by avoiding the use of unnecessary plastic. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and we loved the very English style of the house and its interior. The room was quite spacious, had tea and coffee making facilities and we got new biscuits every day. The wifi is great as well. We had an online meeting on Friday morning and the connection was uniterrupted for 90 minutes.

The house was beautiful inside and out, the design has been really well thought through, everything inside the house flowed together. The location of the house was brilliant for exploring Bournemouth. The room was cleverly designed with the main door in. It was very spacious, extremely clean and we really loved all the personal touches that had been added. The hosts (both David and of course little Pumpkin) were very friendly and easy to talk to. We will be hopefully booking this room again.
