The pub itself was wonderful staff were helpful and friendly and so we're the Patrons. The room itself was amazing for the value it was amazingly cleanly, the facilities presented are far better then those of a lot of hotels I've stayed in including big branded hotels. Despite only staying for one evening to break up a long drive it has left a amazing impression on my and if I am ever in the area again I'll be sure to book again.

We really cannot think of anything that we didn't like about Thistleyhaugh Farm. First of all, it is a beautiful location. In the middle of the countryside, with only sheep and cows as direct neighbours. The house itself is also beautiful. You can tell much attention has gone into the decoration and details of it all. Our room was most comfortable and spacious. The bed was very good. There was a TV with Netflix option, tea and coffee facilities, fresh bottles of water and milk every day of our stay as well as a jar of cookies. The bathroom was comfortable with a nice shower. Everything was spotless. Good WiFi too! We found it really added to our experience that the bed was made fresh every time we came back in the evening from our Northumberland adventures. Breakfast was delicious, with yogurt, cereal and fresh fruit as well as cooked options. We felt like royalty staying here and our host was most friendly.

I stayed there during a family trip to Alnwick castle, coming from Inverness. After being on the road for 3 days on a harry potter tour with my family, which includes 3 kids (15, 12 and 2), it was awesome the way i welcomed at the Amble Inn. It was the first hotel i met dog-friendly. (note: i am a cat's person). I loved it! Several families just enjoying their drinks and meal and the dogs by their side with food and water. Although i arrived late (with only 5min to ask for food), i was served like a prince :) The meals were awesome. We had steak and fish&chips. I couldn't ask for more space in the room. It is huge and comfortable! The breakfast is very complete and with good quality. My wife loved the overall looks of the hotel and dinning room and rooms. The service was always great, taking details in consideration. Just loved it!

Excellent! Very friendly staff, cheap but decent drinks, room was spotless - iron and ironing board supplied came in handy, ideal base for exploring Northumberland, though Amble itself is a nice place. Would recommend the fishing harbor and the river Croquet

Reception and dining room staff were friendly and welcoming. The grounds are very attractive as is the main hall. Quite a long drive from the main 'A' road on single track but plenty of passing points. Loads of parking available and quiet at night for a good sleep.

Eshott Hall is a beautiful, old style hotel. I visited in a quiet time and was thrilled to get a free upgrade - with a bath in the huge room. Lovely old furniture, spacious rooms. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. And an enormous Craster kipper for breakfast. Wished I'd booked more than one night!

This is a lovely B&B, definitely one of the nicest I've stayed in, and I've stayed in a few! Everything was spotless and lots of little extras had been well thought out. Breakfast was a well presented full english plus fresh fruit and cereals so again just right. It's a quiet countryside location but only a few minutes off the main A1 so is a perfect spot to stay if you want a stopover on a longer journey, which is what I did.

Warm welcome from friendly hosts, good sized room filled with plenty of little extra's like a toothbrush and paste (in sealed package) in case you forgot yours. Usual facilities for making hot drinks and liked the fact that fresh coffee was provided. My room had great views over the surrounding farm land. Excellent breakfast with large selection. Very quiet area with easy access to the coast. Highly recommended.
