This was one of the most delightful BnB’s I have ever stayed at. Perfectly located in Freshwater along the round-the-island cycle route, we stayed overnight on a cycling weekend away! Sarah was a fabulous host who has thought of everything. The room is so comfortable with plush bedding, a cute seating area, well appointed and spacious bathroom, and windows overlooking the garden. There was a safe garage to store our bikes overnight. Breakfast was served in the sun filled conservatory - muesli, fruits, yogurt and a vegetarian shakshouka! Beautiful old doggy Pim was the cherry on top. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Beautiful historic manor surrounded by a lovely garden even in winter. Great location for nature walks. Room very comfy, spacious, overall a warm and welcoming feeling. Simple and satisfying breakfast. Mike and Vicki are fantastic hosts, very caring and accommodating. We love their stories, really makes you feel right at home.

The space is fantastically designed: you get your own little cabin with a private entrance and a little private outside space where you can enjoy your morning breakfast or unwind after a long day of exploring. Cleanliness is impeccable. The cabin has everything you might need, including a kettle with teas and coffees that get refilled every day. The room is tidied/cleaned daily. Breakfast was really impressive - Carol, the host, is an amazing cook. You get all the amenities of a hotel, but with a personal touch from the hosts, which we thought was really lovely. The area also deserves a special mention, make sure you have a swim or enjoy a SUP/Kayak ride on the sandy beach at Colwell Bay (5 mins walking), or take a coastal path to Yarmouth. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

I am delighted to have stayed at Tollgate Cottages. Very high standards of cleanliness, furnishings and equipment throughout. Lovely breakfast to set us up for the day. Very quiet location with extensive garden and views. I would be very happy to return to Tollgate Cottages any time.

Everything was perfect! Such a lovely, welcoming couple. A lovely, modern, extremely clean and comfortable room with everything I could have wanted and the fresh milk in the little fridge was so nice instead of those horrible little capsules!!

Fantastic find, Steve your host has perfected what a small B&B should be. Spotlessly clean, great large bathroom with plenty of towels,and a continental style breakfast. The bedroom was a nice size with tea and coffee facilities and a smart TV
