From the moment we arrived the Half Moon staff made us feel very welcome. VERY hospitable caring team of people who work there. The pub food is 1-2 steps above most food served in pubs. Fresh, homecooked style with an elevated taste and look. Good helpings! Wonderful English style breakfasts served with tasty coffee or tea. Located in a 450 year old historic pub house, it serves a wide group of clientele from young families to oldsters. It's a quiet destination out away from the masses. Rooms have been upgraded with nice changes. Keeley and Justin have a good thing going and visitors and overniters will be pleased. We're returning!!!

Parking was free, but limited outside the hotel, with more free parking about a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. Before I forget, the room also had Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, biscuits and 2 bottles of spring water, (which was a really nice touch). We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel has a lot of character lovely old hotel building.

Breakfast was superb and you had a choice of homemade preserves. As a little bonus there were homemade cakes left in the room everyday.
