The welcome by the owners was second to none. Everything was catered for and thought of. The bedroom was lovely and big with a wonderful aspect out over the gardens and the farm fields. Breakfast was superb with more choice than we could have dreamed, cooked to perfection and served by the owner. We could not fault this place and will be looking forward to returning soon.

A 200-year-old farmhouse set in a quiet location on the edge of the village of Thropton, this B&B has free Wi-Fi and views across the River Coquet valley to the Simonside Hills.

What was not to like. Greeted with Coffee and cake. Room had great views over village. Good size, lovely comfortable bed, shower good, very clean and quality shower gels etc. plenty of wardrobe/ drawer space for clothes. Breakfast excellent, fresh local and tasteful products for cooked varieties, granola, figs, dates, fruits, yoghurt etc. Cooked breakfast was done fresh everyday. All in would recommend and definitely stay here again

Cragend Grange is a 16th century building that was converted in Victorian times as part of a model farm for Cragside, a local National Trust property. It has two guest rooms for bed and breakfast visitors. The property offers free WiFi and there is a terrace.

Lou and Shaun were incredible hosts and the place was incredibly surprising - a wonderful Northumberland farm experience and the biggest B&B room we have stayed in. There is so much history to the place and a visit to Cragside is a must do to complement the Cragend farm experience. Can not rate this place or the hosts highly enough.
