Katie and staff and locals very friendly. Lovely large clean room and lovely breakfast. Booked evening meal on first night which was also very good. Great base to explore from and nice and quiet location for a good night's sleep. Would highly recommended.

Everything! Warm and welcoming staff - lovely cosy Inn and the rooms were immaculate with that extra touch of quality. Bed was really comfortable. Food was amazing - the burgers are to die for!

Beautifully restored cottage with many original features. Very clean, quiet, comfortable, lovely room, very hot water and excellent shower. Steve made me very welcome. Really enjoyed my stay and hope to return. Lovely countryside with views to the Coniston fells. Excellent pub and cafe a few minutes walk down the road.

Fond memories of our night at the Engine Inn. Mostly of the cheeky bartender and a couple on a getaway weekend. (Babs, you know i'm talking about you!) Food was great, company was great. Together with family, it was a good night in Holker!!

The Hotel has both oldy charming and new features. The bar area is lovely and comfortable and the conservatory for breakfast/ meals has amazing views. Breakfast had good choice and delicious especially the homemade preserves. Staff were extremely welcoming , helped me with my luggage . The beds are soooo comfortable and our room was large and quiet. Definitely going to return.

Ample parking at the time of our visit. Very well equipped flat in terms of furniture, crockery, cooking utensils, glassware etc. On leaving we met the charming ladies who clean the flat and they take pride in providing basic requirements (tea, coffee, milk, condiments etc) so that guests don't have to rush straight out to the shop on arrival.
