Overlooking Fitzgerald Park, The Redclyffe Guesthouse is opposite University College Cork. Cork city centre is a 10-minute walk and Redclyffe offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and traditional breakfasts.

As a female travelling alone, I felt safe and, in fact, felt very much at home at Redclyffe Guesthouse. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! Mora (I hope I'm spelling this right) offered me a choice of my room, went out and purchased gluten free and dairy free food options so I was able to safely eat as a celiac, and even gave me the remaining almond milk for my journey back to Dublin! The whole family are lovely, warm and welcoming. The room was cozy and comfy with a delightful little coffee/tea corner and tv. Breakfast was delicious and there were several options available. The location is about a 15 minute walk from downtown or a few minutes on the 208 or 205 bus right outside the door. The Cork Prison (18th and 19th century) is a 10 minute walk away and an absolute must-see! I sincerely hope that I can go back to Cork someday and would most definitely stay here again. It's such a wonderful find! Thank you, Mora and family!

Dating from the early 1900s, Gabriel House features 10-feet-high ceilings, a characteristic staircase and many original features. Guests can relax in the garden and patio to the rear of the property, while helpful staff can provide city maps and recommendations for trips or restaurants.

Kent Train Station is 200 metres from the bed and breakfast and Cork Airport is a 15-minute drive. The Blarney Stone is just 5 miles away, and Kinsale is 30 minutes’ drive away.

The staff, breakfast, and facilities were all amazing. GH definitely has a family feel to it and is the most warm and welcoming place I've ever stayed. Kathleen and Valerie greeted us every time we came to breakfast or returned from an outing, asked us how our day was, what our plans were, etc. Everything is kept very clean and the breakfast was so good I found myself wishing they served lunch and dinner as well.

It was clean, quiet, had pretty much everything you’d need. Breakfast options and towel rental and essential such as toothpaste etc were available and really cheap. Staff were brilliant. As a solo female traveler in a mixed dorm I felt safe which is such a relief. I booked on short notice due to a family emergency in cork and was so relieved it was as nice as it was.
