Fabulous place with attentive and friendly staff. We lived in a great, clean and cozy room, had a delicious breakfast everyday on a beautiful lawn and were surrounded by amazing people. Special thanks for a great professional taxi driver that staff has helped us to find, and for really good coffee that is so rare is Sri Lanka. This place truly is a gem!

We booked at 20h30 to arrive the same day, and check in closed by 21h00. We get there around 22h00 and naturally, the place was closed as they didn't expect to receive us. Never the less we shouted from the gate and someone heard us and opened the door for us. Inside we were greater by Volker, a German gentleman, owner of the hotel, who appologiesed for the whole situation (even if it was on out foult the whole mess). The room we booked wasn't ready, but an even better room than the one we booked was available and offered to us at the same rate that we had paid. The short staff on call by thar hour promptly arranged for some food for us (life saver has we had been driving for 4 hours to get there). Overall it was an excellent experience, very professional and extremely friendly, so much considering the hassle we caused when arriving. At the end we extended our stay one more night, has the time we scheduled simply wasn't enough to enjoy the amazing atmosphere at Vila Rosa.

    This is a cosy, charming & friendly place in the hill capital Kandy. Just a short drive from the city centre, it's nested on one side of overlooking the Hanthana mountains range We loved staying in the Grand Hills hotel. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning view at the mountains. Nice pool. Good wifi, breakfast & dinner delicious. beautiful Garden. Excellent service. bedroom, bathroom private balcony spotless clean. Definitely our best stay in Sri Lanka.

    Our two hosts were remarkably friendly, attentive and helpful. While the accommodation is located on the outskirts of Kandy (and is thus very quiet - a big plus in our opinion), the city centre and all the major sights are easily reachable by tuktuk. Our corner room with a balcony had a beautiful view over the river and the surrounding countryside. The breakfast - especially the fresh fruit - was delicious, varied and more than we could eat.

    Lovely guesthouse with an absolutely charming and helpful hostess. We were warmly welcomed and felt comfortable right away. The accommodation is a bit outside the city center (about 10-15 minutes by tuktuk), which we really liked because it's peacefully quiet, and the huge balcony offers a wonderful view of the city. We opted to have dinner outside, but there were options available on-site as well. The breakfast was good and plentiful. If you want a short stop in Kandy without staying right in the city, this is the perfect place.

    Great place, great host! Super kind, she arranged for us (fair price, cheaper than others) a full day hike in the Knuckles, private guide and Tuk Tuk driver. Breakfast extra price, I recommend. Free filtered water, wonderful terrace. Everything was perfect, exactly what we were looking for in Kandy!

    We had a fabulous room on the second floor. Everything was very comfortable and convenient. It felt private with an outdoor dining area. A special like for the workspace, which is often lacking. The host was not very talkative, but kind and nice. Breakfasts were very tasty. The hotel is excellently located: the surroundings are quiet, and you can reach the main attractions and the city center on foot along the banks of a picturesque lake.

    The place has a really great location, close to the city center (15 minutes) and quiet. The room was clean and well equipped. It doesn't have an air conditioning but the nights are pretty cool so an open window and a fan were enough. Sarath and Nalini are very nice and hospitable people. The breakfast on the terrace was good. They also provided a laundry for a reasonable price. I really enjoyed staying here.

    This stay was a really pleasant discovery. Nice and spacious apartment. Very quiet. Extraordinary clean. Great location, Just a few minutes from the city centre. The apartment has directly excess to terrace with the garden. The lady owner is very helpful and warmhearted. Rate is 11/10!
