I can’t say enough good things. The facilities are immaculate, the room very comfortable—quality bedding and furniture. Black out curtains. Smart TV with Netflix. Delicious breakfast. Jen was so kind throughout our stay. This was our favorite place to stay during our NZ trip.

Annie is a very caring hostess and looked after us. We got cooked breakfast to our liking and Annie had a lot of good suggestions for trips. In the end we discarded our plans and simply followed Annie's advise. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and clean. The house sits on a small hill and so we had a great view around. As an early riser it was great to sit in the garden with the first cuppa and watch the sun rising. A small kitchen outside the room provided everything needed for a cuppa. Also there was a small living room for the guests. It felt like home away from home.

I stayed at a lot of hotels during my month in New Zealand, but this was the nicest! Cozy, comfortable, quiet! So close to the redwoods and the treewalk, which is utterly wonderful day or night. Super convenient to Rotorua city center, but not close enough to be constantly smelling sulfur :) Vivien was a great host with lots of advice and helpful guidance. Plus she's just a joy to talk to over breakfast.
