I had read the descriptions and had seen the pictures of this beautiful property and it lives up to it's reputation in person. Only 10 minutes from the main gate and near a series of waterfalls. Eric, the owner, is very diligent about responding to you and making sure all needs are met. His assistant, Rai, is a sweetheart and extremely attentive.

We loved the relaxing property, Ricky the Police Dog, the landscape, it's cleanliness, the play area for kids, the breakfast area was just lovely. The fact that Board Games were available. It's proximity to El Valle activities.

Me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights before leaving Panama. It was a great way to end our vacation. The little hotel is set in nature and it is very peaceful. Betsy cooked us breakfast and dinner and even served it on our terrace! We had Tara the owner organize a shuttle to the airport for us. The nearest grocery store is 10 minutes away. It’s a good idea to bring up some drinks and snacks. Our room had a small fridge. If you want absolute relaxation you need to go here!

Casa Grimaldo is a perfect stay in El Valle, the place is very well maintained and the gardens around are gorgeous and very photogenic (even more so when everything is lit up at night). It is a wonderful little romantic getaway. Staff is very forward coming, friendly and serves you well. Accommodation is perfect sized, everything is working as expected and the balcony with hammocks overviewing the garden is breathtaking. My only pet peeve would be the shower head which was spraying water all over the place and in combination with the shower door not very well insulated it made our bathroom into a little pool. :)

Jose and his wife Liz were the kindest, most accommodating hosts. They gave us great advice on some hiking routes and showed us the way to the “India dormida” trail (which we’d highly advise you to take a look at - its breathtaking). Breakfast was simple but nice with coffee, bread, jam, juices and eggs. The room and bathroom were super clean and Liz was kind enough to wash a load of laundry for us. All in all - we had a blast! It’s almost like we stayed with friends.
