What an absolutely delightful place to call home for a few days! We were looking for a restful spot on a quiet beach after our safari and this was it. The building itself is fascinating….lots of history within, unique and quirky and has everything you need and more. Our rooms were comfy and clean and the balcony in each room overlooking the beach was great. Massi and Miria are the perfect host…there when you need them with answers to all your questions. All staff were so kind and friendly…restaurant staff with whom we interacted the most were the best. The daily breakfast had a perfect selection of continental and hot options. And a juice with fruit and avocado that I wish I could have bottled and brought back home. We ate all three dinners there and they were out of this world (I’m running out of superlatives to describe our stay!). With Massi’s obvious influence they were all traditional Italian. Four amazing courses each night and only $20 USD per person. Worth so much more. I wholeheartedly recommend Zanzibar House as a perfect place to stay for a beach break. Suggest taking the taxi service offered on their site as we chose not to and our cab driver had difficulty locating it. With the help of a kind local on a motorbike however, we did. Thank you Massi and Miria.

Isla Bonita is a wonderful place with friendly and helpful stuff. We were welcomed as old friends. The rooms are clean and cozy with fantastic sea view. Also you can go to the roof to see amazing sunrise. We loved this quiet place, we enjoyed walking along the wide beach, we miss our small talks with general manager. Thanks for unforgettable time at Isla Bonita! BTW if you enter the beach and turn left there is a nice place to eat called Spicy mama with tasty authentic food and european service.

Featuring free WiFi, Mohammed Bungalows and Restuarant offers accommodation in Matemwe, 38 km from Zanzibar City. The guest house has a sun terrace and a private beach area, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar.

It's a beautiful location right on the beach, with cozy seating overlooking the ocean. Mohammed and his team are just wonderful. I forgot a small camera in their restaurant when we left for stone town, and he and his wife really helped me out to get it back - I'm so grateful to them! He also arranged transport from the ferry with us, and was very forthcoming when we had to change some plans around last-minute. The food in the restaurant was amazing as well. Highly recommend this place!

The units at the bed and breakfast are equipped with a seating area. The bed and breakfast offers certain units that include a balcony and quiet street view, and every unit has a private bathroom and a desk. At the bed and breakfast, all units come with bed linen and towels.

I would recommend this accommodation. The property is definitely a new building, with outstanding open space outside and really big and modern apartaments. The location is very good: 150m from the beach and 500m from the center town, all at walking distance in few minutes. The view from the terrace is really great: you can relax in the morning and enjoy a good breakfast (European with mixed Zanzibar fruit) while enjoying the seaside view. There is no Wi-Fi in the building, but as suggested by Ali (the local guide), I have bought the local SIM card in the city center close to the apartment and it was working perfectly. Due to lack of time, I didn’t have time to enjoy the several experiences that Ali suggested me during the staying. I had an amazing vacation in Blue Villa Zanzibar, enjoying the pole pole Zanzibar philosophy. I would definitely come back

This is a beautiful boutique style hotel. The staff is very friendly. The beach setting and the rooms are beautiful but the best is the food. We had half board and there were always delicious choices on the menu board. It's not the cheapest place but the food is fresh, nicely spiced, altogether the best food we have had during our stay in Tanzania. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Its also a good choice if want to be close to the dive schools. They provide free pick up from the hotel.

Nice private and good for a quiet get away, everything you need was available in the hotel, tours, small store, spa, pool, restaurant and the staff was very friendly and trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible! For my liking there were little vegetables with the food but when I asked for some extra with breakfast we always got a whole plate full! Also it’s a great place to watch the sunset if you’re an early riser 😊

Authentic boutique hotel, great for people who would like to relax. Rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel has two nice pools with a view on Indian ocean. Food was yummy, and coffee was really good. Their employees are very friendly and helpful, especially Naima and Ali. Also George made our stay very special since we got upgraded to the room with a private access to the beach and jacuzzi, awesome!

The staff were super friendly and always there to help, Special thanks to Doris, Abdul, Youssef, Abu Bakr. They pretty much found a solution for all of our requests, the food was absolutely fantastic both in presentation and taste. The location and exclusiveness of this boutique hotel were spot on we would not have chosen anywhere else. Family friendly, beautiful public beach at your doorstep, clean private pool and jacuzzi, your own kitchen and living room. A glimpse of paradise.
