First of all, we had a very pleasant month staying there. And it exceeded our expectations. We spend Christmas and new years there and were invited by Anthony to a great feast. He also took us on a day trip to the southern most point of Africa and was always a great company for a chat. The place is well taken care of, quiet and in a safe neighborhood. And cool pool :) Thank you for everything! Please have in mind, that Cape Town is about 45 minutes by car away from there. Approximately 250-300 ZAR with Uber. But there are supermarkets around and the penguins are just a 10 minute drive away.

At the conclusion of our three-week journey in South Africa, we chose to stay here. In fact, we also started our trip with a stay here, and we were delighted to have booked it for the finale of our road trip. Jean, the host, is truly wonderful, welcoming us as if we were old friends. The space is tastefully decorated, and the view from the front window is breathtaking. The location is ideal, situated near the top of the roads in Kalk Bay. While it involves a few steps, the delectable food in Kalk Bay made the ascent more than worthwhile.

If you are a physically active person you can actually walk to the beach.+-2.5km. We did that every day and enjoyed the walk. A short drive from many great places around Cape Point. More that enough shopping malls in the area. Small Thyme was equipped with everything that we needed and more.
