This time it was quite opposite - we discovered this b&b and it was perfectly located on the lake, very comfortable, superb clean and pets friendly. The owner was absolutely charming and helpful, it was a true pleasure to chat with him. The breakfast literally was beyond any breakfast we could even imagine- comparable with top range hotels or better. Home made several types of yoguts, selection of regional cheeses and cold cuts, exotic fruits, home prepared balsamic seasoning for avocado - just to mention a small part of delicacies. Unforgettable experience - it would be actually wonderful to come over for a longer stay to fully enjoy this mqgnificent cosy hotel and its exquisite offer.

Franz took great care of us, and made us feel very welcome into his house. The breakfast was very nice and set in a sun room with a small view of the Rhein River. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a nice balcony. We enjoyed the garden and it was only a 10 minute walk along the river into the center of Stein am Rhein. Would definitely stay here again.

Bettina is a great host and we had a wonderful stay at her guesthouse. The location is very convenient and the house is beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Bettina also offers wellness services and I highly recommend them.

All apartments and suites at Gästehaus zum Felsen have their own bathroom with shower and toilet, TV and internet access, as well as a terrace or balcony. The hosts were the nicest, friendliest and most helpful for foreign travelers and their English is great. The breakfast was the best we have found in Germany. The cook to order bacon and eggs was of top chef quality. The suite was bright, comfortable and had the biggest shower we have seen not to mention amazing views of the lake. It was so nice to not use our car since the location is close to everything as well as the train and bus system which is super clean and convenient. And let’s not forget the 2 minute walk to the beautiful beach……wow! The restaurant is fun and relaxing and the food was outstanding as was our server. Overall, this place has it all……..beer garden/deck, wine cellar, restaurant, fun adult beverage vending machine, great location, amazing hosts and staff………10/10.
